Hamburg Crit 2009

Two more from the weekend at Hamburg Crit 2009 in Hamburg, NY. Not the greatest, but in the first one I was trying not to get slammed into and still get a shot. Easier said than done when your field of vision is through the eyepiece. A co-worker of my husband, not shown here, broke his pelvis in two places in a crash earlier in the day. Here’s to a speedy recovery Terry!

Buckhorn Island State Park

I love the interaction of the baby duck in the second image with his head cocked to look at me! Hubby and I took a short nature walk at Buckhorn Island State Park this afternoon and these are a few of the images I managed to capture there. Not really much to see, lots of mozzies though!

Allegany Nature Pilgramage 2009/ Birds of Prey

Red Tail Hawk, Coopers Hawk, Barred Owl and a Sawhet Owl. All of these birds were injured in one way or another. Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center was kind enough to come into NY from Northeastern PA to show us these fantastic birds. I was really amazed at how little the owl was!
